Kirsty Gillmore is a sound designer, voice actor and award-nominated voice over showreel producer.
Recent audio drama sound design credits include Eleanor of Aquitaine for B7 Media,The Treasure of Abbot Thomas for Audible Originals/Bafflegab Productions and BRASS: The Devil in Whitechapel for Battleground Productions. Theatre and opera credits include The Little Prince (Arcola), Don Giovanni (British Youth Opera), l’Ospedale (Solomon’s Knot), and the award-winning The Shape of the Pain (Summerhall). Film sound editing and mixing credits include the award-nominated short An Unkind Word.
Previously, she spent eight years working in broadcasting for the BBC, in a variety of sound and operational roles. She is a guest tutor for the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and a guest speaker for the Audio Engineering Society and PLASA.
She has been twice nominated for Voice Over Services Provider of the Year at the One Voice Awards (UK), and her work has been shortlisted for multiple awards at both these and the Voice Arts Awards (US).
As a voice actor she can be heard in games, audiobooks, radio drama, commercials and corporate productions worldwide, including the recent BBC Radio 4 production The Christchurch Murder.
