Imran Ahmad is a British Indian Film Composer and Music Artist from London, U.K. His music has been broadcast on UK and international television and radio and commercially released worldwide.
Imran Ahmad has a long association with B7 Media including the film score for Paul Andrew Kimball’s latest indie feature The Colour of Spring, having scored two previous Kimball features, The Cuckoo in the Clock and Roundabout. Other notable scores for B7 include BBC audio dramas; The Martian Chronicles, The Boy from Aleppo Who Painted the War, I Robot, Dan Dare and most recently the Audible docudrama series, The Space Race.
Imran composed the music to the critically acclaimed zombie feature film ‘The Dead’ set in West Africa, which screened at the Cannes Film Festival. This was followed by music for the award winning sequel ‘The Dead 2: India’ which was the opening night film at the Frightfest Film Festival. ‘Never Let Go’ won Best Independent Feature at the National Film Awards 2016. It was released on DVD and digital in October 2016 followed by a US release in 2017.
Imran has also composed music for several documentaries, notably multi-award winning ‘Mayomi’ which is an intimate portrait of a young woman’s struggle in post-tsunami Sri Lanka. He also composed music for the documentary ‘India In A Day’, directed by Richie Mehta and Executive Produced by Ridley Scott and Anurag Kashyap.
