DAN DARE: The Audio Adventures has taken a step closer to the conclusion everyone’s been demanding, with the announcement of a crowdfund campaign to help fund and complete the series with the much anticipated Volume 3.

“Given indie audio production can be quite a challenge to fund, especially with a large cast of regular characters, the company has decided to launch a ‘Crowdfund’ campaign on Indiegogo to help cover the cost of producing a new series of 3 x 75-minute audio adventures,” explains Series Producer, Helen Quigley.

The key cast members have agreed to return: Ed Stoppard (Dan Dare), Geoff McGivern (Digby), Heida Reed (Peabody) and the Mekon himself, Raad Rawi, plus the original writers and production team are all signed up.

The new series has been storylined by Colin Brake (Bugs, Doctors, EastEnders) who also wrote the much praised conclusion to Vol 2, ‘Prisoners of Space’.

“As next year marks the 70th anniversary of the Dan Dare ‘s debut appearance in the Eagle, it would be a crime not to have Colonel Dare and his team back in the air – and on it – for this milestone,” says Helen Quigley.

Director Andrew Mark Sewell adds; “I had an absolute ball directing the first series of Dan Dare and can’t wait to get back in the cockpit of the Anastasia for another thrilling series of stories. As I’ve said before in an era of such uncertainty we are certainly in need of a hero like Dan Dare to lift our spirits. I hope that everyone else shares our excitement and is willing to back us for one final series of adventures.”
