So begins Once Upon A World, a delightful series of animated Bible stories for children, narrated by John Le Mesurier.

With stories selected from the Old and New Testaments, the fresh clear style of writer/illustrator Robert Duncan combines superbly with the wry and gentle humour of the late John Le Mesurier, one of Britain’s most distinctive and loved voices, best known for his portrayal of Sergeant Wilson in Dad’s Army.

Once Upon A World presents a happy combination of faith and humour that will appeal to families both remote from and close to the Christian faith.

Interactive Learning

The schools’ support pack includes a DVD of interactive stories embedded with information ‘hotspots’, a book and a CD-ROM with learning materials to print. Each story has associated interactive whiteboard learning materials, National Curriculum information, lesson plans for Key Stage 1 and 2, and printable worksheets to support classroom activities.

Additional purchases will include figures of the characters for children to use in storytelling sessions in Literacy to enhance retelling the stories.
