Martian Chronicles Finalist in International Radio Awards
B7 Media’s BBC Radio 4 dramatisation of Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles, starring Derek Jacobi and Hayley Atwell, is a finalist in the 2015 New York Festivals International Radio Program Awards in the Best Drama Special category. The other four finalists in this category are from the United Kingdom, India and South Korea.
The New York Festival’s International Radio Program Awards for The World’s Best Radio Programs honours radio programming and promotions in all lengths and formats from radio stations, networks and independent producers from around the globe.
A Radio Independents Group spokesman said, “This is yet another great performance from UK indie producers, with nominations from a wide spread of companies based both inside and outside the M25. It only adds to the fact that our sector is continuing to produce a diverse range of successful creative content”.
The 2015 awards gala will be held on Monday evening, June 22, 2015 in New York City.
